In Memoriam: Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt

I worked with Dr. Flummerfelt while a student at Westminster Choir College (1982-87), first in Church Music, then as a graduate student in Voice Performance & Pedagogy. Under his guidance as Westminster Director of Choral Activities, and Conductor of The Westminster Choir, I was privileged to spend 4 seasons with the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, and Spoleto, Italy, and perform with the great conductors and orchestras of the world at that time in NYC and Philadelphia. "Flum" had such a great musical impact on so many. I'm so grateful for those wonderful musical experiences, and how they helped mold me as a singer & musician.
