2024 Spring Sing Student Voice Recital - May 19, 2024
2023-24 was a particularly good year for our studio! Here are this year's Spring Sing Student Voice Recital numbers:
Singers: 19 (16 in-person; 3 online)
Pianists: 2 (1 beginner; 1 professional collaborative accompanist)
Ages of Performers: 7 thru 70+
Songs: 37
Centuries covered: 12 (from 8th thru 20th)
Languages: 5 (English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish)
Genres: 7 (Art Song, Folk Song/Spirituals, Musical Theater/Film, Opera, Oratorio, Pop, Sacred)

A special shout-out goes to our collaborative accompanist, Anna Hermanson. Anna and I have worked together for almost 10 years, both in the Sing for the Health of It private studio and while I was Choir Director at Christ Fellowship Church, Fort Collins. Anna is also the staff accompanist at Fort Collins High School, maintains a private piano studio, and has accompanied Colorado All-State Choirs. Having a competent, sensitive accompanist is SO important for a singer, and we are blessed to be collaborating with Mrs. Hermanson. So, thank you, Anna!
